Copyright & Rights Complaints Policy

A fair process for rights complaints concerning BookLaunchIQ content.

Version
BLQ-LEGAL-DRAFT-1
Status
Draft for Owner Approval
Effective date
To be assigned on Owner-approved publication

1. Purpose

This Policy establishes a formal process for complaints concerning content distributed or listed through BookLaunchIQ.

2. Eligible complainants

A complaint may be submitted by a rights holder or properly authorised representative.

3. Complaint information

A complaint should identify the complainant and contact route, the work or right claimed, authority or ownership basis, the affected BookLaunchIQ URL/listing/content, an explanation of the alleged infringement, supporting information, and a good-faith confirmation that supplied information is materially accurate.

4. Secure handling

BookLaunchIQ does not request identity documents publicly or through insecure public forms unless legitimately necessary and securely handled.

5. Assessment and interim measures

BookLaunchIQ may assess whether a complaint is sufficiently specific and credible to investigate. Where reasonably necessary to prevent continuing serious harm, it may temporarily restrict public availability while investigating.

6. Notice and response

Where lawful and appropriate, BookLaunchIQ will notify the affected author/account and provide enough information to understand and respond without unnecessarily disclosing protected complainant information. An affected party may provide evidence of ownership, licence, authorisation, public-domain status, another lawful basis, or a correction/removal proposal.

7. Determination

BookLaunchIQ may restore content, keep restrictions, remove content, request further evidence, or refer parties to appropriate legal resolution. Repeated knowing infringement or knowingly fraudulent complaints may result in account or platform action.

8. No adjudication claim

BookLaunchIQ is not a court and may require parties to obtain a legally authoritative determination in complex disputes. This is not called a DMCA procedure. Any statutory service-provider procedure is relied on only where applicable requirements are actually met.
